STUDIU: Bărbaţii şi femeile au ritmuri diferite de îmbătrânire
A recent study from China reveals significant differences in aging between men and women, based on blood analysis and routine medical checks. Researchers examined data from over 104,000 adults, identifying key aging milestones. Men experience major metabolic changes between ages 35 and 45, while women see significant hormonal shifts during menopause, around ages 55 to 65. Despite these differences, physical disparities tend to lessen with age. The study also found that certain blood substances accumulate with age and may contribute to biological aging. Encouragingly, some aging effects may be reversible, as shown by the protective effects of metformin and dietary changes in experiments. These findings highlight the importance of tailored health interventions for each sex throughout life.
