Studiu: 9 ore de somn cresc riscul de mortalitate mai mult decât 6 ore

A recent study indicates that sleeping more than nine hours a night may increase the risk of premature death. While seven to eight hours is considered optimal, longer sleep durations are linked to a 17% higher mortality risk. The study monitored over 3,000 individuals for 30 years, revealing that those who slept between seven and eight hours had the lowest death rates. In contrast, those sleeping less than six hours and more than nine hours had higher mortality rates. Researchers suggest that sleep duration should be monitored in medical assessments to identify individuals at risk for health issues. Excessive sleep has been associated with various health problems, including heart disease and obesity.
