The Bucharest office, opened in 2024, employs software engineers, cloud specialists, data experts, and product managers. They develop cloud-native applications, AI solutions, and digital commerce platforms. Gerhard van der Bijl, CTO of Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia, emphasized the importance of technology in enhancing customer experience. AD/01 is expanding its capabilities in software engineering, AI, and cybersecurity, actively recruiting for various tech positions. Ahold Delhaize operates multiple brands, including Mega Image and Profi, with a significant presence in Romania.
