Stresul zilnic afectează inima pe termen lung: studiu Imperial College
A recent study indicates that chronic daily stress can lead to structural changes in the heart, increasing the risk of cardiovascular issues. Researchers from Imperial College London found that persistent low-grade inflammation, often linked to stress, can result in smaller heart chambers and thicker heart walls. This inflammation is associated with a higher likelihood of heart attacks and strokes, particularly among individuals with socioeconomic disadvantages. The study analyzed data from over 488,000 participants, revealing that those with the highest inflammation levels had a 43% greater risk of major cardiovascular events. Additionally, genetic factors may influence individual susceptibility to stress-related inflammation.
