On Tuesday, only six vessels crossed the strait, down from nine the previous day and an average of twelve over the past ten days. This drop coincides with increased security risks in the Middle East, as U.S. forces attacked Iranian tankers and Iran targeted a U.S. base in Jordan. Similar trends were observed in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, where 25 vessels passed, below the recent average. The situation reflects heightened caution among shipping operators due to regional conflict risks.
