Traffic on Cibinului Street in Sibiu will resume with restrictions due to ongoing modernization works, including underground networks and public lighting. The reopening is set for October 19, 2026, after the first layer of asphalt was laid. Full completion of the project is expected by November 23, 2026, when final asphalt layers will be applied. The modernization includes extensive work on water, sewage, and electrical networks, aimed at preventing future disruptions. Temporary traffic restrictions will remain in place as further infrastructure improvements are made, including the installation of new LED lighting and wider sidewalks for pedestrians.
