STRABAG SE has completed the acquisition of 100% of BAWI Construction SRL, a Romanian railway infrastructure company. The transaction, announced in July 2026, received all necessary regulatory approvals and will take effect on September 30, 2026. BAWI specializes in various railway infrastructure services, including construction and modernization, and will continue operating under its current brand. This acquisition enhances STRABAG's capabilities in a market supported by significant investments in railway modernization.
