Păltiniș, established in 1894, is Romania's oldest mountain resort, located in the Cindrel Mountains. It gained fame through philosopher Constantin Noica, who lived there for over a decade. Initially named Hohe Rinne, it was developed with Austrian influences and became a popular winter destination.
