The request follows a proposal approved by the Bucharest General Council to initiate insolvency proceedings. The mayor emphasized that this is the only way to protect STB from forced executions and to ensure salary payments. STB's debts amount to approximately 1.72 billion lei, primarily owed to the tax authority and penalties.
