Metrorex will also broadcast messages urging passengers to maintain silence. This initiative was inspired by Georgiana Mihalcea, a mother of an autistic child, highlighting the need for a more considerate public transport environment. Currently, the focus is on awareness rather than fines, although penalties may be introduced if necessary. Metrorex representatives noted that current laws do not allow for fines for speaker phone use, but disturbances can be penalized.
