STB concediază 800 de angajați. Până la 200 pot pleca voluntar
Bucharest Transport Company (STB) plans to lay off 800 employees, with up to 200 eligible for voluntary departures with compensation. The voluntary departure registration started on July 22 and ends on July 27. The union leader stated that the layoffs are part of a restructuring plan, and compensation varies based on seniority for those not opting for voluntary departure. The company faces a driver shortage despite the layoffs, as over ten drivers leave monthly. The restructuring aims to reduce administrative staff from 14% to 6-7% in the coming years. Salary discrepancies with the minimum wage are also a concern, and fare increases are under consideration.
