STB a depus o nouă cerere de insolvență la Tribunal

The mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, announced that the Bucharest Transport Company (STB) has filed a new insolvency request after the first was rejected. Ciucu emphasized the necessity of this procedure for the company's recovery and the protection of the city's budget. He expressed surprise at the initial rejection due to missing documents, stating that STB management assured him all necessary paperwork was submitted. Ciucu highlighted that STB has been in a 'de facto bankruptcy' since 2020, and official insolvency would safeguard public transport and employee salaries. The Bucharest General Council approved the insolvency proposal with a majority vote.
