Romanian companies can apply for funding to support investments in electric energy storage systems, as announced by the Ministry of Energy. The application period runs until the end of October, aiming to enhance energy storage capacity amid an energy alert status. The initiative is part of a modernization fund, with a total budget of 150 million euros. Eligible projects must meet specific criteria, including the construction of new autonomous storage facilities with a minimum installed power of 1 MW. The funding can cover up to 100% of eligible costs, with a maximum of 15 million euros per enterprise. The investments must be completed within 48 months of signing the financing contract.
