Statul român păstrează bursa socială la 925 lei. Liderul studenților: Nu acoperă cheltuielile lunare • Newsweek România
The Romanian government maintains the social scholarship at 925 lei, which students argue is insufficient to cover their monthly expenses. With living costs exceeding 2,000 lei, many low-income students rely on parental support. The National Alliance of Student Organizations in Romania (ANOSR) is advocating for a minimum scholarship of 1,050 lei for the 2026-2027 academic year, highlighting the gap between the proposed amount and actual living costs. ANOSR's analysis indicates that students need at least 2,027.99 lei monthly to cover basic expenses, including accommodation and food. The current scholarship only covers about 60.65% of these costs, raising concerns about the financial viability for students from low-income families.
