The Romanian government is launching two aid schemes totaling nearly 336 million lei for cattle and pig farmers, effective August 27. The funds aim to offset increased operational costs, with specific eligibility criteria for farmers. Cattle farmers can receive 68 euros per eligible animal, while pig farmers can get varying amounts based on housing type. Each beneficiary is capped at 50,000 euros, and payments depend on European Commission approval. Applications must be submitted to APIA within 20 working days of the laws' enactment.
