The interim Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, reported on the status of three funding programs for Romanian entrepreneurs: Startup Nation, Femeia Antreprenor, and SME Eco-Tech. The Startup Nation program has seen only 267 contracts signed out of nearly 8,000 applications, with many applicants facing credit rejections. The SME Eco-Tech program has attracted 474 firms, with only 55 securing funding agreements. The Femeia Antreprenor program, aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs, has signed contracts with 793 firms, but many applicants have yet to receive promised funds from 2024. The implementation of these programs will continue into 2027.
