Swiss startup NovoViz, co-founded by Romanians Andrada Muntean and Andrei Ardelean, has climbed to 27th place in the 2026 TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award, up from 66th last year. The company specializes in single-photon imaging technology and is also a finalist for the Prix BCN Innovation 2026, competing for a prize of 150,000 CHF. NovoViz aims to commercialize its advanced imaging systems, which have applications in low-light conditions and quantum imaging. The startup has raised nearly 2 million dollars since its launch in 2024, allowing it to transition from academic research to product development.
