Starting October 6, 2026, young individuals aged 18 to 30 can enroll in free entrepreneurial training courses under the Start-Up Nation program. There are 17,600 spots available, and completing these courses is essential for accessing grants of up to 250,000 lei for new businesses. The program is open to all eligible young people, including those returning to Romania, with a minimum education requirement of secondary school. The training lasts at least 40 hours and is free of charge. Successful course graduates can apply for funding, but completion does not guarantee financial support. The initiative aims to create approximately 10,500 jobs and is backed by a budget of 295.75 million euros, primarily from EU funds.
