Starea de alertă energetică a fost prelungită pe la 30 septembrie

The Romanian government has extended the energy alert status until September 30 due to ongoing risks in electricity production. The low water levels in the Danube are impacting the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant's operations, compounded by high temperatures and drought. The government is also seeking to postpone the closure of certain production units until 2027 and 2028. This extension aims to ensure the stability of the National Electric System amid expected high electricity consumption as the population returns from vacations and schools reopen.
