The construction of the "Valea Prahovei" highway, planned since 2003, has yet to see any progress after 23 years. Currently, the feasibility study has been ongoing for five years, with recent penalties imposed on the contractor for delays. As of 2026, only a small portion of the required geotechnical investigations has been completed, and the project remains in a state of revision. Despite being included in the 2026 budget as a priority, the highway continues to be a distant dream for many.
