The new stadium in Târgoviște is set to host international athletics competitions starting in 2027, as announced by the Romanian Athletics Federation. The facility, which features a competition-standard athletics track, is nearing completion. FRA officials visited the site to discuss its future use with local authorities and builders. The stadium, named Dâmbovița Arena, will have a capacity of 12,402 seats and is designed for multiple sports and events, representing an investment of over 270 million lei. Construction began in November 2023 and is expected to finish in early 2027.
