SRI spune că a prevenit o operațiune de sabotaj a unui cetățean rus în România: „Era instruit de un intermediar”

The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) reported preventing a sabotage operation involving a Russian citizen in Romania, who was monitored since February 2026. The operation was conducted in collaboration with various national and international agencies. The individual was allegedly gathering photo and video documentation of military and critical infrastructure, similar to tactics used by Russian sabotage networks in Europe. The investigation revealed that Russia continues to exploit vulnerable individuals for such illegal activities. SRI's actions, in coordination with Romanian authorities and international partners, successfully thwarted the planned sabotage.
