The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) and the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) signed a memorandum to enhance cooperation and information exchange for civil aviation security. The agreement was signed by U.S. Ambassador Darryl Nirenberg and SRI's interim director, General Răzvan Ionescu. Ionescu emphasized the importance of collaboration with U.S. agencies for operational and analytical activities. Nirenberg highlighted the commitment of both countries to improve aviation security and share best practices.
