SRI demontează un fake news despre bugetul și organizarea instituției

The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) has refuted false claims regarding its budget management and the status of its military units. SRI clarified that the director is the main budget authority, responsible for fund allocation, which can be delegated to deputies. The 19 military units under SRI have legal personality and their commanders manage allocated funds. SRI also explained that its funds come from the state budget, are managed through the Treasury, and financial reports are submitted to the Ministry of Finance. The agency emphasized the transparency of its budget, which is publicly available, and stated it is subject to both internal and external audits.
