Spotify will introduce an 'AI Persona' label for artist profiles created with artificial intelligence, enhancing transparency for users. This label will help distinguish between real artists and AI-generated identities, addressing concerns about misleading profiles. Artists can declare their AI status through Spotify for Artists, and the platform will also verify profiles that appear to use photorealistic images. The label will not imply that the music was created by AI, focusing instead on the artist's public identity. AI Persona profiles will be excluded from editorial recommendations but may still appear in user-specific suggestions.
