Born on July 18, 1958, he began boxing at 15 and became a national champion while representing Romania from 1978 to 1986. After retiring, he dedicated his life to training young boxers, coaching at various clubs and nurturing talents like Alexandru Marin, who achieved international success. Brânzei received numerous accolades, including the title of Honorary Citizen of Iași in 2020, recognizing his contributions to the sport. He leaves behind a legacy of champions and a profound impact on Iași's boxing scene.
