Sportivii din Rusia și Belarus vor putea participa la Festivalul Olimpic al Tineretului European Brașov 2027

The European Olympic Committees (EOC) has set the participation conditions for young athletes from Russia and Belarus at the 2027 Winter EYOF in Brașov. Athletes will compete under the names of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) and the Belarusian Olympic Committee (BOC), with only their national Olympic logos displayed on equipment. They will also compete under the EOC flag, and the Olympic anthem will be played during award ceremonies. EOC emphasizes the importance of allowing young athletes to participate regardless of nationality, aligning with the International Olympic Committee's stance on sports autonomy. Romanian Olympic Committee President Mihai Covaliu highlighted the event's role in fostering character and building bridges among people. Preparations for the 2027 competitions were also discussed during the meeting in Split.
