The Clinical Emergency Hospital "Saint Apostle Andrew" in Galați has acquired a new video duodenoscope for early diagnosis of pancreatic and biliary cancers. This equipment enhances the capabilities of the General Surgery Department, allowing for minimally invasive treatments. The device features a high-resolution camera and a therapeutic channel for complex surgical interventions. It is part of a larger project funded by the European Health Program, totaling 25 million lei, aimed at establishing a regional cancer treatment center in Galați. The new technology is expected to improve early detection and patient recovery times.
