The county public administration is investing over 16.9 million lei in renewable solar energy production for self-consumption, including battery storage and heat pumps. The feasibility study for the solar energy project was approved, along with the technical-economic documentation. The project aims to increase renewable energy production capacity through solar power plants in various public buildings. Ten solar power plants will be installed in strategic locations, and the investment is proposed for non-reimbursable funding through the Modernization Fund. The project is expected to produce nearly 50 MWh of green energy over 20 years, significantly reducing carbon emissions and benefiting the local community.
