Spain is deploying the Paznic Tactical Aviation Detachment to Romania for four months, equipped with F-18M aircraft and NH-90 helicopters to counter drone threats. The contingent consists of 200 members of the Spanish Air and Space Forces and will operate from Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, collaborating with Romanian authorities and NATO allies. The mission aims to enhance NATO's air defense on the eastern flank, responding to increased violations of Romanian airspace by Russian UAVs.
