AUR's amendment to the integrity law extends the obligation to declare assets and interests to spouses and partners of high-ranking officials in Romania. Previously, only the officials' own assets and those of their minor children were required to be declared, allowing potential evasion of legal provisions. The amendment seeks to close this loophole and strengthen integrity regulations, reinforcing public trust in state institutions. AUR proposed this change to address existing inequities in asset control systems.
