The couple is present during the digital searches, which began on Tuesday, with investigators seizing numerous devices from their home. Cristela claims the case is politically motivated and that her husband has been wronged rather than guilty of fraud. She expressed distress over the treatment of her family during the investigation, including the handling of their children. Additionally, prosecutors have placed a freeze on Călin's bank accounts and their villa in Mogoșoaia, which the court upheld despite his appeal.
