He urged Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan to negotiate with the European Commission for an extension on the closure deadline for three coal plants. Grindeanu emphasized the need for urgent solutions and called for the reopening of production capacities currently in conservation, warning that refusal to do so would be economically detrimental. He expressed hope for the law to pass in the Senate this week.
