Sorin Grindeanu, the PSD leader, has called for an extraordinary parliamentary session starting July 27 to address urgent issues like VAT for housing and fuel prices. He emphasized the need for a temporary working group to expedite legislative solutions for critical situations. Grindeanu proposed an amendment to delay the VAT increase for housing purchases until October 2025, arguing that buyers shouldn't be penalized due to administrative issues. Additionally, he highlighted the necessity of a mechanism to compensate fuel prices and to unblock hiring in the healthcare sector, particularly for neonatal intensive care. Grindeanu urged other political parties to present their proposals and set aside political disputes for the country's benefit.
