Sorin Elisei, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, stated that there is a zero chance of a blackout in Romania. He estimated a potential 5% increase in energy bills for the upcoming months, particularly in October, November, and December, as contracts are renegotiated. Elisei clarified that not all energy imports from Bulgaria are for Romania, as some are also sent to Hungary. Romania's energy system is interconnected with Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine, and Moldova.
