The director of Oxygen Forensics and a Russian citizen were arrested in a U.S. criminal investigation. They are accused of concealing the true ownership and control of the company, as well as the software's development location. Oxygen Forensics provides the Oxygen Forensic Detective software, which has been licensed by Romanian authorities and other European law enforcement agencies. The U.S. Department of Justice claims the company misrepresented itself as an independent U.S. firm, while it was allegedly controlled by five Russian nationals with development occurring in Russia.
