Șoferii primesc o veste bună: un nou tronson al Autostrăzii Sibiu-Pitești ar putea fi deschis în acest an

The construction of the Tigveni-Curtea de Argeș section of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway is nearing completion, with final asphalt layers being laid. The Romanian National Company for Road Infrastructure (CNAIR) anticipates that traffic could open by the end of this year, ahead of the February 2027 deadline. The 9.86 km section is being built by the Austrian company PORR, employing around 350 workers and 156 machines. Ongoing works include finishing touches, installation of sound-absorbing panels, and safety features. The Momaia tunnel is a key focus, with mechanical and electrical systems being installed. After completion, drivers will be able to use 54 km of the highway, crucial for connecting Transylvania to southern Romania and the Port of Constanța.
