Italy has introduced the 'Free-Flow' system on certain highways, allowing automatic toll payments without stopping. This system, operational on 200 kilometers of roads, enhances traffic flow and reduces emissions. Drivers can pay tolls automatically with a device or online within 15 days if they don't have one. However, unfamiliarity with the system may lead to fines. Additionally, starting June 1, drivers can claim compensation for delays caused by infrastructure work.
