Police conducted checks in Sibiu and Mediaș to ensure compliance with legal norms by passenger transport drivers. On September 18, 23 officers carried out activities to prevent traffic accidents involving passenger vehicles. They tested 75 drivers for alcohol consumption and inspected 49 public transport vehicles, issuing 37 fines for various violations. Additionally, 30 taxis and 8 alternative transport vehicles were checked, resulting in 15 more fines. Police retained 7 registration certificates and immobilized 3 vehicles, while one criminal offense was identified. Ongoing checks aim to enhance road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
