In Mureș County, several drivers were penalized for illegal overtaking captured by a police helicopter. The operation aimed to enhance road safety and prevent serious traffic accidents. Between October 12 and 14, police monitored risky road sections, focusing on dangerous driving behaviors. On one day alone, eight drivers received fines for violating traffic rules, including a 44-year-old man fined 1,730 lei and a Hungarian citizen who overtook on a pedestrian crossing. A 23-year-old was also penalized for two illegal overtakes, totaling 3,460 lei in fines and a 60-day driving suspension for each offense.
