A driver transporting 20 students in a school minibus was caught driving under the influence in Timiș. He attempted to evade a police checkpoint but was stopped shortly after. The breathalyzer test showed 0.25 mg/l of alcohol, and the vehicle exceeded its registered capacity. The driver had a previous DUI conviction and had his license revoked in 2020. He received a fine and his driving privileges were suspended for 90 days. Police will continue monitoring school transport for safety.
