A driver has been charged with manslaughter after causing a fatal accident in Alba Iulia, where he lost control of his car and hit two women on the sidewalk. One of the women, a 79-year-old teacher, died two weeks later from her injuries, while the other, aged 68, survived and will participate in the trial. The incident occurred on August 5, 2025, and the driver, a 32-year-old man, was indicted over a year later, with the case currently in preliminary proceedings at the Alba Iulia Court.
