The Bucharest Transport Company (STB) has entered insolvency due to debts of €300 million, while interim director Andrei Dinculescu's contract has been extended for five months. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu explained that the decision to remove Dinculescu lies with the General Council, not the mayor. Dinculescu has been in his position since September 2025 without a competition, and his previous contract was also extended recently. He has a background in digitalization and runs a web design firm that earned him €100,000 in dividends in 2023.
