Societe Generale şi-a îmbunătăţit ţinta de profitabilitate, până la cel puţin 13%, în noul plan strategic - Economica.net

Societe Generale has unveiled a new strategic plan aiming for a return on tangible equity of 13-14% by 2029, while also reducing costs. The bank plans to lower total costs below €16.3 billion by 2029, focusing on efficiency gains through AI and voluntary departures. The goal is to achieve a cost-to-income ratio below 55% and an average annual revenue growth of about 3%. CEO Slawomir Krupa aims to improve investor sentiment after a previous plan was poorly received. Despite a significant rise in stock prices, Societe Generale's market value remains half that of BNP Paribas, facing competition from digital banks and U.S. firms in investment banking. The bank's shareholder remuneration policy will remain unchanged, potentially distributing €21 billion by 2029.
