ȘOC TOTAL!

Andreas Babler, Austria's Vice Chancellor, is stepping down from his government role and as leader of the Social Democratic Party due to internal dissatisfaction and declining poll numbers. The party, part of a coalition government, has seen its support drop significantly, while the far-right Freedom Party has gained popularity. Babler expressed that ongoing debates about leadership are unproductive and distracting. He will resign early next year, with Finance Minister Markus Marterbauer set to take over his vice-chancellorship.
