A 38-year-old man in Botoșani is under investigation for impersonating a priest since 2018, having created a makeshift church in his home. Authorities conducted seven searches related to the case, uncovering that he misled people into believing he was a legitimate priest. The man is facing charges of fraud and unauthorized practice of a profession. He allegedly used religious garments and objects to enhance the illusion of conducting legitimate religious activities, aiming to deceive participants for financial gain. Following the searches, he was taken in for questioning by the police.
