New details have emerged regarding the case of Valentina Tănăsie, who was found dead in a suitcase in the Olt River. The main suspect, Vlad Bălțățeanu, had a brief relationship with her. The suitcase reportedly belonged to Valentina's ex-boyfriend, who recognized it after the discovery. He noted signs of violence on her face during their last video call, where she mentioned being assaulted by Vlad. Investigators are considering jealousy as a motive for the crime. After the murder, Vlad fled Romania and was arrested in Switzerland, where he is awaiting extradition. Authorities have 18 days to submit the necessary documents for his extradition.
