On Wednesday evening, Oradea residents witnessed a partial solar eclipse, with the moon covering 33.2% of the sun's disk. The event began at 20:22 and reached its peak at 20:45, just before sunset. Many local photographers captured the phenomenon from various locations, including the Hotel Continental and the banks of the Crișul Repede River. While Oradea experienced a partial eclipse, a total eclipse was visible in parts of Russia, Greenland, and Spain. The next solar eclipse visible in Romania is expected on August 2, 2027.
