Czech group Škoda aims to enter the Bucharest market with innovative tram solutions and smart maintenance systems. They propose trams with pivoting bogies to enhance passenger comfort and reduce wear. Škoda also plans to transform existing depots into smart facilities with real-time diagnostics and predictive maintenance. The company is already active in Romania, supplying trolleybuses to various cities. Škoda intends to participate in a tender for 79 trams for Bucharest's public transport and aims to develop long-term maintenance services locally, potentially leading to final assembly operations in Romania.
