Škoda Group lansează un nou sistem de siguranță pentru trenuri

Škoda Group is expanding its operations in Germany with a new train protection system called PZB, which can be installed on locomotives in about 10 days. Developed with The Signaling Company, PZB ensures trains comply with signals and speed limits, automatically braking if necessary. While Germany is gradually adopting the European ETCS system, Škoda emphasizes that PZB will remain essential for years due to its simpler installation and lower maintenance costs. The system allows for easy upgrades and integration of new technologies, such as the future FRMCS communication system. The first client for this solution is the Belgian operator Lineas, which operates locomotives in Germany. Škoda sees potential for this technology in various types of vehicles beyond trains.
